New Camera System, TriLux
LuxteL is proud to launch their new range of camera products containing several firsts.
There is a growing trend in ORs to record surgeries for teaching, patient outcome improvements and to document patient treatment. To facilitate this we offer these three new cameras, reasonably priced with a common control unit and a common illuminator.
The CardioVu is a small camera encapsulated by optical fibers which bring xenon light and camera directly to the field of surgery, where they are clamped via a goose neck clamp to a retractor. The advantages are that the site is continuously in view at all times (not just when the surgeon is illuminating the field), the image is parallax free since the light and camera are concentrically placed, and the surgeon does not suffer from neck fatigue during long procedures. The EndoVu is a universal Endoscopic camera for fixation to many of the rigid endoscopes in use today. The LuxVu is a headlight camera, mounted with fiber optic xenon illumination. At less than one ounce this offers the most comfortable and the most powerful head set in the industry.
A further advantage comes from the commonality of the controller and illuminator, allowing surgery centers to have a wide selection of inexpensive video and xenon lighting solutions, and with all the flexibility of more dedicated equipment without loss in performance.
Medica 2007
LuxteL llc will be exhibiting at MEDICA 2007; the 39th World Forum for Medicine in Düsseldorf, Germany; November 14 through the 17th. This will be LuxteL's 4th year as an exhibitor; each year proving to be bigger, better and more successful than the last. The number of exhibitors has increased by approximately 35% over the 2006 figures requiring significant additional floor space. With attendees numbered 137,500 last year, 2007 is anticipated to be a huge draw requiring numerous strategic planning particulars. The attention to detail in the orchestrating of the fair can be seen in things such as re-configured traffic lights to eliminate traffic jams to and from the fair! MEDICA is an event not to be missed.
Attendees can anticipate being able to visit with every significant player in any sector of the medical market world wide. The possibilities are endless, whether you are looking for products to sell or purchase, distributors or reps, equipment to upgrade, investors, employment options, technical support, branding opportunities, or just want to see what is new in the market place - MEDICA can provide it.
When visiting the MEDICA web site the Catalog Listing for LuxteL will read as follows:
"LuxteL designs and manufactures a core technology product line of specialty xenon ceramic lamps and accessories trade marked CeraLux®, and a vertically integrated range of medical lighting products which include surgical headlights, fiber optic illuminators and video cameras trade marked IsoluX®. The resultant products are more rugged, offer better color rendition and eliminate environmental concerns associated with other lighting techniques. Quality is not compromised in our design for cost; we have engineered our costs out of the company from the beginning. This narrow focus and our size enable us to remain true to our aim of best value in the industry."
LuxteL will be exhibiting their long standing core competency; the very successful CeraLux ceramic xenon lamp and illumination products from their IsoluX line. Although past years exhibiting have been exciting and have achieved the desired business goals, this year is approaching with much anticipation as LuxteL will be launching a new suite of video cameras and an LED Head Light.
The IsoluX's video camera recording system is comprised of the three video camera options, three illuminator options and one video processor. The flexibility of the system and the ability to change out cameras and attachments makes the system not only highly cost effective but multi purpose.
The IsoVu Headlight Video Camera is a light-weight (1 oz), head-mounted video camera designed to enable all in the OR to see exactly what the surgeon is seeing in real time.
Attached independently to a retractor clamp at the surgical site, the CardioVu Stationary Video Camera is a combination video camera and fiber optic light cable designed to eliminate parallax and provide a continuous view of the surgical site.
The EndoVu Endoscopic Video Camera is designed to be attached to any rigid endoscope regardless of manufacturer.
The TriLux Video Processor is a video signal processor control unit that accepts input from any of the three IsoluX cameras and provides an output signal for recording and/or displaying the desired image.
The LED Examination Headlight is designed with LEDs close coupled to the optics for a uniform, focused light; the IsoLED Headlight has been designed for examination and surgical use and offers up to 700K lux of white light. The system can be powered by either a portable DC battery or standard AC power supply.
LuxteL has had significant success with the initial systems and are branding for a number of key players in the illumination market, all of whom have been very satisfied with the cost, performance and durability of the systems.
Please, if you are attending the fair, stop by the LuxteL booth and say "Hello", we'll be delighted to answer all of your lighting questions and will have numerous pieces of equipment available for "show & tell."
Have a safe flight and see you at the fair!
