IsoluX FAQs

To speak to someone about repairing one of our products, please contact your local distributor.
"How do I re-set my timer?"
Click Here for directions on re-setting timers.
"Why is the turret multi-ported?"
The turret is insulated from the case of the illuminator to comply with FDA Class 2 codes. This enables the illuminator to be used with other fiber optic instruments. To facilitate this we provide ports for Wolf, Storz, ACMI and Olympus.
"Why is the turret flush with the illuminator face?"
The turret is protected because it is inset, avoiding damage from elevator or theatre doors. Turret damage is a common failure mode of competitive devices.
"What is the difference between 01-1300XSB, 02-1300XSB and the 03-1300XSB models?"
The 03-1300XSB is an illuminator with rubber feet suitable for placing on a counter top or shelf. The 02-1300XSB has a 30 inch mobile stand instead of the rubber feet, the 01-1300XSB model has a storage box mounted beneath the illuminator and a 22 inch stand.
"Why is there a difference between 22 inch and 30 inch stands?"
The 30 inch stand maintains the unit at the optimum height for use and stability, the 22 inch stand compensates for the 8 inch storage box.
"Why do you offer a Universal headlight cable?"
IsoluX recommends the use of our Wolf cables with our illuminator and they are offered as standard product. To facilitate customers who already possess an alternative illuminator we offer a Universal cable with screw on connectors that will accept Storz, ACMI and Olympus instruments. When ordering headlights please note that 04-XXXVWX denotes a Wolf cable and 04-XXXVUX denotes a Universal cable.
"Why do you offer 90° and 105° headlight optics?"
The 105° headlight option is suitable for patients that are horizontal; the 90° is suitable for patients in a vertical position. However, both versions have multi-linked flexible connectors enabling movement utilizing the joy stick. When ordering a headlight unit please note that 04-090VXXX denotes the 90° and 04-105VXXX denote the 105° options.
